This is the first event happening in this year, 2016 at the space. On 30th January 2016, DuckDuckGo Bangalore Community hosted their 2nd global quack and hack meet-up at the space.
Daniel, the community manager of DuckDuckGo joined us over a video conference. He gave some insights about the Global Quack and Hack meet-up which is happening at different parts of the world.
Sagar, spoke about the features provided by DuckDuckGo search engine and various ways to contribute to the DuckDuckGo open source platforms. A demo on building instant answers was shown.
First, participants were made to set up their development environment and execute some existing instant answer on it. Later, they started to hack on their ideas to build new instant answers.
To appreciate their efforts, all participants were awarded with a DuckDuckGo T-shirt. Yummy pizzas and sodas were served to the participants at the break.
It was good to see that few of our mozillians were also part of this event and made their contributions to DuckDuckGo search engine by building instant answers.
It is always great to get DuckDuckGo to host their events at our space. You can read about their previous quack and hack meet-up here.
